Ratiplier was born on a nuclear power plant, but the radiation had some unfortunate effects. Namely his human feet and virtual immortality. Being a rat, he doesn't understand the concept of immortality and has no idea why his friends keep dying after a few days (as compared to his 69,666 thousand year lifespan). He has never watched YouTube, but has visions of Markiplier and believes the real Mark is dead and has reincarnated as himself.
