ABOUT
"why are you getting so worked up? why~? do you care about me or something?"
tabby has always been known for her overwhelming presence, typically very dramatic in everything she does. she's warm and welcoming off the bat, always eager to meet new people and make new friends. she's a bit of a neutral party though, not liking to butt in her opinion and would rather let others settle problems. typically latches on to one person, though she's friendly and open to everyone.
she's good at concealing it, but she always needs to feel grounded or anchored. when she's alone, she tends to become anxious and depressed easily, though she has her fears and reservations about getting attached to people. despite her best attempts to stay reclusive and save herself pain, her heart is too large and loving to abide by the code she wishes to set.
DESIGN
- she's 5'0, so she's shorter than nearly everyone aside from ruby
- her antlers are connected to her head, but they were a magical gift
- berries can replace the pink flowers in her hair or be drawn together
- she's in cat form more often than she's in human form, so either is perfect
BACKGROUND
CHILDHOOD
tabby doesn't recall much from her childhood due to how long ago it was, but she knows that she didn't belong to her druid grove. her mothers took her in and cared for her as their own though, so her childhood was as normal as it could be. rather than play with the kids her own age, she spent most of her time with the elders and was adored by the adults in the grove. though she faced some bullying for her antlers and lack of likeness to her parents, it never bothered her and she loved both her mothers deeply and spent most free time with them. she was a natural animal whisperer, and from a very young age rabbits and deer and all sorts of animals would be inexplicably drawn to her.
ADOLESCENCE
tabby spent years upon years with her druid grove, though she became more and more disconnected with age. she was sure the animals and the forest were whispering more to her, she knew that she was surely meant for more. this sense of displacement conflicted with her loyalty and love for her people, and so she struggled with her place for a long time. one night she was guided by the animals and the forest to a cave where she discovered her true identity as the daughter of mielikki, lady of the forest. however, at the same time, dragons and other evil were invading the forest and destroyed her grove. the forest protected tabby, but when she returned to her grove, there was nearly nothing left.
ADULTHOOD
many many years after the tragedy was spent slowly repairing and mending the forest with all the animals, and living in solitude with them in peace. when decay and sickness struck the forest and tabby was struck with a prophetic dream fortelling another invasion, she was forced out to find a solution before her animals would suffer. on this journey was she kidnapped by captain silvershot and his crew, but she managed to escape her captors through transformation before they were able to collar and shackle her. she ended up on the ship, where she met the rest of the group and fell into place with them.
RELATIONSHIPS
currently tabby's closest ally and the one she has latched onto. has deeper feelings developing for her, but has overall decided her task is to assist inari's journey regardless of her feelings for her.
stray is the other most interesting person to her within the group, finds him spontaneous and fun and enjoys bits with him. is looking to be closer friends and allies.

TRIVIA
- tabitha's preferred forms for down time are a cat or even a fox for when she's with inari. however, during combat she's most often a lion or a bear.
- she is entirely illiterate but has a thirst for knowledge, so she often begs one of her companions to read her books before bed or in down time.
- she's typially very uncomfortable with getting pet or handled as a cat, which is why she scratched neuvieh. if you have the right touch, though, she'll love you.
- she sometimes even purs outside of cat form if she's feeling pleased enough, you'll hear a faint rumbling from inside her chest.
