Mama Rosé is a well respected madam in the city. She's a stern woman that will speak her mind, even if it makes her other upper class peers secretly despise her. She treats her clients like her own family, often gaining a mutual relationship with them.
Maria grew up a poor woman in a big city with little respect. Being a girl led to minimal opportunities for her and her single mother. Her father left them when Maria was very little, not even going through with the marriage before he went to his mistress. Her mother did her best to raise her, but was desperate for money. She ended up selling her body to prostitution to make ends meet, which led to her being trafficked and killed when Maria was 15.
She was heartbroken and homeless, so she decided to play the pimp's game against them. She managed to go around using fake names to seduce these pimps into marrying her. After writing herself into their wills, she killed them off one by one. She gave most of the money anonymously to the people who worked under them, only keeping enough to keep up her facade.
Maria eventually heard of the new city being built: a utopia for deviants. She decided if she wanted to better the sex industry, she had to take charge herself. She set up business shortly after it was finished being build, and quickly gained a reputation through previous prostitutes who recognized her moving there as well. Despite her ideals being unaligned with the other procurers, she is sure to let them know their place alongside her. Even the slightest attempt at dethroning would lead to an uproar, so they reluctantly allow her to hold her place.
