full name is chagur dhoro. 

she is a mixed child of au ra (xaela) and elezen; mother was the au ra, father was the elezen. father was a trader who would cross the ruby sea to carry out shipments in yanxia. he met and fell in love with chagur's mother and returned to her when he couldn't get her out of his head. more of less walked out on his wife in gridania to stay with his new bae. chagur was the result of their coupling, but only after a miscarriage that almost resulted in the couple giving up on having children due to the severe rarity of mixed race kids. 

chagur grew up happily with her parents without knowledge of her father's origins. she learned how to fire a bow from him and prep game from her mother. she wasn't an amazing cook, but she could make do with something edible. when she heard about the archer's guild in gridania from her father and it's where he learned how to shoot a bow, chagur wanted to learned from the same. at 19, with blessings from her parents, she hopped on a boat and sailed for gridania to learn further in the ways of archery.

post a realm reborn, chagur consumes a fantasia potion with hopes it'd help with her physical transition. however, due to chagur's insecurity in her transition and her body, the effects of the potion don't take effect; largely being psychological, it is only through true acceptance of one's ideal self would the potion's effects manifest. thus, over the course of the game, chagur wrestles with her ideal self, with her desired body developing as she begins to accept herself. alongside this, her sense of fashion changes, shifting from loose clothing to more fitted and confident outfits. she also cuts her hair in the middle of shadowbringers as a sign of change in herself.

random notes: 

- she's trans, and should only show subtle hints of breasts in her shadowbringers on outfits. 

- thanks to her mixed heritage, she's a little taller than your average female xaela au ra.

- she wasn't born with the limbal rings around her eyes due to her mixed heritage (her references betray this, but explanation forthcoming). 

- initially, her hair was all red in addition to two red eyes. 

- post shadowbringers, chagur absorbing all that light from the lightwardens caused her hair to almost blanch all white and her eye to discolor to a bright, glowing white. she can't see much out of that eye where everything is scored by a white vignette (it's similar to the scenes when the wol would look at their hand during shadowbringers). while her hair may grow out back to red in time, it's determined that her eye may remain as-is.

- post shadowbringers, krile creates enchants a pair of glasses for her that help focus the eyesight in her whitened eye and ridding her of the vingette. unfortunately, in the middle of endwalker, her glasses shatter and chagur opts to go without them.

- she refers to her parents by their names, not mom and dad.
