Description: She has a slight glow to herself in the dark. And is able to see better in the dark than most Hylians. She also is capable of running on water and even jumping farther distances almost like she's floating. This is due to her 'wings', which were hard originally for her to manifest.

Weakness: Using her magic, whether she's conscious about it or not can take a lot out of her. Especially when she has to run or fight.

Name: Martial Arts

Description: Having trained with the Shieka she's become a master of stealth and agility. Preferring to use long ranged bows rather than up front and personal hand-to-hand. Not that she can't do a bit of both, it's just easier with a bow.

Weakness: Given her small size, in hand-to-hand, a single heavy blow can do a lot of solid damage to her.

Background

Main AU
Originally a human, her village was attacked during the Calamity and she was forced to flee in Akkala. Eventually stumbling upon a Fairy Fountain she previously frequented she was coaxed in and reborn a halfling after about fifty or so years. Zelda was still attempting to hold back the Calamity at this point, with but whispers of hope to give her strength that her hero would return. Unfortunately for her Azel was born a pint missing but thankfully she had emerged from the fairy shrine near Kakariko Village and was taken in by the Sheika. Eventually growing until she was able to embark on her own despite still being quite small.

AU: Nations Divided
This AU takes place in a world where the nations are not quite at war but are  separated and do not have their borders opened for anyone really. The  Zora, Rito, and Gerudo have been in the brink of war but due to the  Calamity they've had to simply take care of their own Nation before  attempting any real harm towards any of the others. For the most part,  the 'spite' of the overall nations mainly holds Hyrule altogether at  fault for the loss of their champions. Where most Hylians will find  themselves being hated just for being Hylians.

Instead of being  found by the Sheika, Azel is found by the Zora and taken in by Sidon. It  doesn't last but two years before she 'accidentally' finds herself in  the Zoran River and is flushed out towards the outer embankment of the  Zora territories. Where she's left at the age of five to deal with  herself. Eventually bumping into a Korok and with them as a companion,  they make their way to the Sheika village where she stays and trains for  10 years. Until eventually taking the title as 'link' (literally) and  stepping up to go and face the Calamity. Even if her first job is to deal with Vah Ruta to keep the flooding at bay.
