bio:
towards the beginning of the revival, in an attempt to regain some of the culture of pre war gem society, there was an expansive court dedicated to the arts and entertainment, containing many sub-courts within -- unfortunately, the primary diamond in charge was harshly jealous, and the entire court crumbled into infighting not long after its creation.
sculptor diamond had been a bright spot amidst all the petty drama, and yet his innocent dedication to his craft and talent earned the ire of the diamond in charge nonetheless. she cracked him so as to bring him down a few notches, and the betrayal altered his view of the world permanently.
sculptor diamond refused all treatment or help for some time, growing attached to his own injured state and sinking into isolation and paranoia until he found a kindred spirit in the reclusive puppeteer diamond, who loved to entertain but hated to be seen.
over time the two decided that they could better survive together, and fused on a semi-permanent basis. now as dollmaker diamond, they split from the remains of the old court and formed a new one, where they could create beautiful things all by their lonesome, and no one would bother them but their dolls.
(every once in a while they release some of their creations out into the wider universe-- no one's sure if this is at the request of the dolls themselves, or for some other purpose...)
