Personality: cheery, hyper during winter, can be frosty to unknown/mean spirited people and creatures.

Background: Jackson was one of a skulk of Kitsune who lived in a mountainous part of Japan. they lived in peace with the other creatures of the mountain, and ate mostly fruits and offerings from a village at the base of the mountain. when Jackson was born, frost permeated the air and left fern like patterns around him, leading to his name. as he grew, Jackson was made a sentry, tasked with keeping watch over the skulk. he mostly kept to himself, though he did enjoy exploring the village when he was allowed to. one day, Jackson came of age, and was told to go out into the world to seek his fortune. he was replaced with a new, younger Kitsune, and he set off to find his destiny. eventually, he came across the path of the exiled and followed it, wondering where he would end up.

During the Dream: Jackson remembered the story of a man who came with the winter chill, and how he left fern patterns on windows from frost. he remembered the thrill of a cold winter wind, and how he resonated more with the cold than he did the summer months. 

After the Dream: Jackson awoke and immediately felt something was different. his paws... they weren't blueish grey before? and what was this feeling of power that flowed through him? something... familiar. Jackson then noticed a castle in the distance, and decided to head there, in order to find out more about himself.

Magic:

Jackson's magic manifests as a shifting snowy powder that he can condense into a snowball or weapon of choice. he can then use this weapon or snowball to either harm or bring joy and fun to others.
INHERENT MAGIC:
Jackson has the inherent magic of element bending. at six tails, he is able to shape snow around him, as well as ice, into simple shapes. he can also manipulate and create a small snow cloud, and has been practicing his magic to try and lift himself with it. so far, he has yet to succeed.

Pet:

Jackson's pet is a small sentient snow creature, made by Jackson himself and given life through means unknown. it is unable to speak and instead gestures to what it wants, or makes small snow crunching sounds. it is made from unmelting snow, but it will become sluggish if it is kept too warm.

General facts:

• Jackson loves making piles of pillows and blankets to sleep on. he learned of the term "pillow fort" when he was on one of his adventures in the village (some tourists had come over to Japan to stay for a while, and they certinately were strange)
• Jackson loves winter the most, and will happily play in the snow for hours. 
• he has a fear of fire, also known as pyrophobia. this is mainly due to the fact that people who didn't know/trust him would use fire as a weapon (plus fire melts the beautiful snow)
• he always tries to tread carefully and almost float about. 
• he's actually jealous of the astral Kitsunegamis, as they are able to float without much effort, and he can't levitate yet (and he likely never will)
