Odelia was born in 1840, being born in a southern state in America. Odelia had a pretty simplistic childhood and doesn’t remember much about it, besides a few details. Odelia was pretty poor growing up, her family struggling to make ends meet most of the time. Odelia was an only child, but had a close relationship with her parents. Unfortunately though, her father had passed away in war when she was only 12, so she didn’t know him for that long. Odelia always did pretty well in school, being one of the top students and getting along pretty decently with the other students.
As an adult, Odelia had a much rougher life. In the time period she lived in, Odelia had little to no rights, only mainly being expected to be a mother and house wife, even at an early age. Odelia met her first husband and married him when she only 20, despite barely having any feelings for him. Odelia had her first 2 daughters with his man pretty fast as well, also being forced to become a mother in her early twenties. Despite being a good mother and caring for her two daughters a lot, she wasn’t happy at all with her husband. Her husband was a massive nag to her, later on becoming verbally, and sometimes even physically abusive as well. Years into their marriage, Odelia snapped one day and couldn’t take the abuse anymore. One day, she had taken her husband out for a walk on some cliffs, where she ‘accidentally’ pushed him off the edge. Over the years, Odelia had met and married three more husbands. She had two more kids, one son with her second, and another som with her third husband. However, she had no connections to these husbands either, and they also were abusive like her first husband. Odelia later on killed her second and third husbands as well.
Later on, she met and married her fourth husband in her 30’s. She still wasn’t as connected to this husband, but he wasn’t abusive like the others, so she still considered him much better. Odelia doesn’t have many memorable moments from her adulthood, as she had to spent nearly all her time being a stay-at-home wife and mother. She had moments where she could leave the house and go shopping, or hanging out with other women, but these were far in between. Odelia had a ton of money that she took from her past husbands after she killed them, being unnaturally richer than any other women in that time.
However, after digging into her past, her fourth husband eventually figured out about Odelia’s murders. Despite pleading with him not to say anything, her husband told the cops about these deaths, where she was sentenced to death via hanging. Odelia wanted revenge on her last husband, but was never able to achieve that when she was taken in by the cops.
On April 15th, 1874, was Odelia’s death sentence. On this day, she was hung in town square, for everyone in town to watch, including her husband.
This was when she woke up in hell.
Upon arriving in hell, Odelia was alone for a while, focusing on developing her powers and adapting to her new life. She also had a new focus as well… Wanting to find her ex husbands and seek out her revenge on them. Odelia was quickly able to make a name for herself out in hell, becoming powerful fairly quickly and collecting a decent amount of souls to assist her, mostly collecting them through forceful means. Around this time, she had also met two overlords, Rosie and Alastor. She was able to bond with these two fairly quickly, the two becoming her first friends in hell. Eventually, Odelia even told the two about her ex husbands, alongside her plans of revenge.
Over her long time in hell, Odelia slowly established herself as an overlord. She also created her own jewelry store company known as Odel’s Jewels. Her company became very successful, Odelia becoming way more rich and successful than she ever did when she was human.
Over the many years she built up her success, Odelia was able to deal with most of her ex-husbands. Alastor had found her first ex husband, torturing and tearing his soul apart. Odelia found her second and third ex husbands as well. Both of them were tortured by her a bit, before she forced them outside one day during an extermination to be killed by angels. Odelia never found her last ex husband… Although she refuses to ever give up on finding him.
Odelia lives a better life now, being more successful and happier than when she was human.
