Sora Mochibuku

Sora is a superstitious woman led by her strange misfortune. She comes from an absurd amount of wealth, shown from her upbringing at the Den-en-chōfu neighborhood in the Ota Ward and still lives there with her parents well into her thirties. Despite such a prosperous and whimsical name like “Sora Mochibuku,” Sora is constantly incredibly unlucky. She tends to be really superstitious and believes she herself is a sign of bad luck, so she tries to not be around others for too long without good luck charms, contributing to her appearance as a clueless rich person. She possesses little to no street knowledge of society due to her lifestyle of extreme modern wealth and hypercapitalism, so she is prone to believing hoaxes and lacks information on things such as convenience store foods and authentic independent attractions. Even things such as instant noodles are still wizardry to her. Even with her fallacious and somewhat delusioned mannerisms, she isn’t really a paranoid person and believes that with enough good deeds, her bad luck will hopefully turn into a wave of good karma, even if her misfortune gets her down. She’s actually pretty nice if you don’t believe everything she says is fact. She generally has a soft, formal, but very droll way of talking as a result of being surrounded by a lot of business exchanges. She is also quite the daydreamer, often dazing about pretend situations. Her catchphrase is “Oh, how unlucky…!” at this point.

Sora is also a big people pleaser and tries to be very hospitable at all times. This seems to stem from her general presence causing unfortunate situations to others, so she tries to be as helpful and welcoming as possible to mitigate it. She also never lets debts go unpaid (except actual economic debts, she's a millionaire after all,) to show her appreciation for people who do not mind the cosmic possibilites of even being around her, and explaining new concepts to her. Because of her extremely rich life, there is always a noticable gap between her and a lot of the other characters, where she even accidentally says ignorant things regarding economic status sometimes. Sora seems to feel that gap in her heart and is self conscious and upset from it. She wishes she could be as relatable and close to the other heroines, as she is overwhelmingly grateful for their knowledge on the Night so unknown to her to a point where words could not describe it. She realizes that just staying the way she is is what makes her specifically unique like the other heroines are, as long as she's mindful. Even if she is not particularly the perfect (or even the greatest) person to acclimate into society with because of her scatterbrained nature, Sora's genuine ability to be courteous and desire to provide joy to her Void Mariya and [SPOILER] (the most defining herculian task of the heroines) shows that she is a trustworthy woman of the Girl's Cafe Committee and has a natural gift towards their objective, solidifying her place with them.

Sora also has a strange relationship with her parents and it effects how she acts. She loves them dearly for the life they have given her, but hates deep down how passive they are with her, consistently neglecting her business concerns and hiding their true involvement with the Hollow Night to her. Even gifts seem to be neglected and put to the side often. Her parents often makes sure she has a startling amount of protection whenever she goes around, saying she's too important of a beneficiary to get hurt. They also send her to do paperwork-heavy business trips rather than involved ones, due to their fears of her misfortune causing in person conferences to go awry. She seems to hide these feelings and likes to believe they are just taking precaution for her out of care, and that business stress simply gets to them. However, this comes to a head and begins to question their notions upon learning about the Hollow Night and how involved they are with its hierarchy. She faces great turmoil of the idea that she has been living a fake life for so long the more she learns about the Night, the Abyss, and Re-Births using immortality to have eternal domination in the world. She now vows to make her own authentic and genuine life, and with her great care of the new people that have entered her world, clumsily ventures the Night in order to piece the puzzle together and find what exactly the plans of all these suspicious people truly are.

• Sora's body is very bad at managing stressful situations and has atrial fibrillation. Her heart rate record is currently 210 due to being lovesick. It usually rests right at 90.
• Sora does keep up with exercise, but it's clear that she is forever doomed to be horrendously slow because of her bodily functions. She is the slowest character of Dreamless Memory, and probably would have the worst movement among all UNI characters.
• Her family sponsors a prominent baseball team with a cute tomato mascot.
• When her Void manifests out of her hair, she has the shortest length of all the hosts. It's a shaggy parted center apple cut.
• Sora has a different body cream for every single part of her body. She also has ungodly hours in the bath.
• The pink in Sora's hair is the natural part. The brown is dyed.
• she's probably nonbinary but she has a job so she cant care about all that right now
