Vardia was the original bearer of the Twin Thorns. She was an outlier, having emotions beyond her programming. She had a great admiration for Vatista for her heroic deed and a great dislike for Kuon for taking away one of the Seven Flowers. Around 50 years after the Licht Kreis war, she defied her programming one last time in order to save Vatista on a mission, which cost her her life. Her lingering will and curiosity remained within her Wings, which were compatible with Korette's desire to find out everything about the Night. However, Vardia's will has started to override Korette's agency, leading the latter to wonder how much time she has left before it kills her.
