He is Grayi's reflection, simply called the man in the mirror. its hard to tell what his motivation is, he seems to know more than Grayi himself, and often speaks harshly to him, criticising and rebuking Grayi. When deprived from Grayi, he loses all sense of inhibition and loses substance and form, which seemingly causes him pain.
