deer man.
lives in a small village in a cottage filled with old books. he has a small garden he's very proud of.
he can see and interact with spirits, and basically listens to whatever they want to say. he definitely considers some of these spirits friends, and one of them he often goes fly fishing with. however, not all spirits are just looking for a friendly ear, and some can be quite violent or are out to cause harm or wreck havoc. many of the spirits come from different time periods as well, so hamish often learns completely random stuff that happened in whatever time period the ghost/spirit is from.
other villagers or people who meet him are convinced they can sometimes see his shadow move differently to how the large stag moves. he doesn't really say anything to deny or affirm what they saw.
most people who don't know him very well can often be pretty intimidated by him. it's nothing personal, he just always manages to look grumpy and intimidating even when he isn't.
