Wisteria Archlight

Born into a family of scholars serving under Nohrian nobility, Wisteria was often surrounded by an overwhleming stench of wealth on all sides growing up. Her father and mother both worked tirelessly in propelling the field of magic forward, uncovering new and cutting-edge discoveries for the field that the nobility would have their hands on first and foremost. Growing tired of this, the Archlight couple eventually found some information that was well beyond what anyone was worth knowing; information that could easily skew the balance of power in Doxarach across both Hoshido, Nohr, and all the tribes alike. The Archlight couple had discovered evidence regarding the mythical weapons, the Venerated Arms. What's more, they were privy to where one of them was located. Determined to take it for themselves and upheave a system that had been exploiting their family for years on end, they set out to retrieve it. Unfortunately, though, the eyes that watched from all sides were not blind to the Archlights' scheme. Just as the pair had the invaluable weapon in their grasps, they were quickly ambushed. Held at a standstill, the pair knew that they stood no chance of survival. While [Father] Archlight kept the oncoming pursuers busy, [Mother] Archlight reached out to Wisteria using a [communication spell] in a haste as she ran to escape with the Venerated Arm, telling her that the weapon, as well as its fellow kin, must be found before the royalty could get it. Being hardly fourteen at the time of the event, the details were hard to grasp and oncoming in nature. Cut off abruptly, the last thing Wisteria could hear was her mother whisking away the weapon by means of warp staff. Ever since that day, Wisteria never saw her parents again, but assumed the same role as they once did as royal scholar. Her abilities, of course, failed to be on par with her parents' abilities. Casted out now that she proved to be useless, Wisteria scrounged up the funds she could from her parents' efforts and joined the magic academy in Nohr. Although she had some preceding knowledge of magic from what little her parents told her, Wisteria worked her way up the academic ladder with a singleminded goal of accomplishing her parents' efforts. Her time in the academy wasn't much to write home about. She was singleminded in her efforts to learn, and hardly made time to socialize with others, seeing them only as competition or obstacles in the way of her personal closure. By the time she graduated at the age of eighteen, Wisteria had set out for the greater lands of Nohr equipped with transcendant skill befitting the Archlight name.

Finally setting out to tie up her parents' loose ends, she eventually realized she had neither the physical might nor the mental capacity to do this alone. Going against her more prideful judgments, Wisteria turned to making a request at the adventurer's guild, requesting a small party to assist in her investigations. The reward? Whatever was left of her family's fortune. Which, surprisingly, was still quite the surplus. From there, the Semnaya Investigation team was formed, spurned and forged in the fires of Wisteria's resolve and curiosity. She had kept her mother's final words on repeat in her head for the past five years. With twin tombstones dangling from her neck, how far would she go to achieve these goals that began not as her own?
