House of Solatis serves the Temple of Light ever since and had always produced powerful religious figures through out history. With the sudden, but anticipated, death of Saintess Aragon, Count Solatis sent his only daughter, Sylvianne Arisailles von Solatis, to the Temple as the candidate for the new Saintess selection ceremony. With the history, power, and connection of House Solatis, the future of Sylvianne as the next Saintess is almost set in stone. Sylvianne, however, had a different plan in mind.
