WARDROBE

Summary

  • Attended a local art college in hopes of getting an internship with a renowned artist, Etch E. Sketsch.

  • When not attending classes, Claudette works for the court as their resident sketch artist.

  • Claudette later becomes a full-time employee for the district prosecutor's office as a secretary.

Past

Claudette grew up in a small rural town that was knowning for its dwindling population. Wanting to lift everyone's spirits in the dull town, she took to painting murals at an early age.

After finding that she had a knack for art, she decides to attend an art college in hopes of becoming a famous artist. The college that she attends looks to be promising- as it would have offered a once-in-a-lifetime internship with a truly famous artist that Claudette admired.

In her last year of college, she takes on a job at the district court as a court sketch artist. Not only does her artistic ability help her to render drawings, but she also- with her keen observation- picks up the ability to notice subtle tells from witnesses. Even at times when it seems that a witness's testimony is flawless, Claudette can pick up on when the witness is lying or hiding something important.

Claudette eventually finds herself in a predicament when a murder occurs at her college- and the victim being a fellow student who competed with her in securing the coveted internship. Although Claudette was the first to call in the incident- avoiding the initial need for a defendant- she eventually finds that the defendant in the case stacking evidence against her as the true culprit.

In the midst of the trial, it becomes apparent that Claudette is withholding information and evidence that could help advocate against a possible motive. She is soon forced to admit the true nature of her predicament. Although- initially- she had intended to become an exceptional student and had made it known that she wanted the internship more than anything- she eventually admits that the internship no longer mattered so much to her and that at somepoint she had decided to withold her internship application.

It was asked if she had decided against applying to the internship due to heated insults from the victim- thus alledging that she lashed out instead of killing the victim as a planned act. Again, with Claudette continuing to avoid answers, the defense presses further into uncovering the truth.

Claudette begs for the defense to leave her reasoning be- as she mentions that she didn't want to tarnish another innocent person's reputation with her own misfortune. On the stand, Claudette manages to cleverly hint to Edgeworth that she had hidden her internship application inside a painting that she had gifted him. Although she doesn't admit this to the court, she discloses to Edgeworth that she had put the application there because ultimately she had decided that she wanted to work for someone more important than the artist she had admired.

The conclusion of the case ends with Claudette's innocence intact and her committing to working for Edgeworth and aiding him with investiagtions.

Design Notes

  • rosy-toned skin, dark blue eyes. long, dark bluish-purple hair that is fluffy like clouds. dark gray lipstick.
  • she is not athletic, so she has a very average build.
  • wears old-fashioned office attire- inspired by vintage fashion. button ups, suit vests and pants. likes earthy teal colors but will wear just about any color.
  • has a tendency to buy designer jewelry, despite not being the most financially stable.

Relations

I trust Miss Storm's judgement. There is no room for doubt.

love interest

They work together at the district prosecutors office. Edgeworth claims that he doesn't need Claudette's assistance to win trials, but he also never outright dismisses her advice or theories during a trial.

Edgeworth appreciates her tact and professionalism when it comes to the work they do.

Thanks for the painting lessons, pal!

Associate

Claudette often takes pity on Gumshoe- seeing as he often gets the short end of the stick. She's bought him a meal or two and has offered to teach him how to paint.

Gumshoe feels lucky to be friends with someone so nice- so he usually does his best to repay her when he can.

She looks like she's mad at me... Is she?

acquaintance

There's not any tension between the two, despite Wright being a rival to Edgeworth. Claudette often has to be careful about what information she shares with Wright when it comes to investigations.

She once joked- along with Maya- that she would share information with Wright if he bought one of her paintings for an outreagous price, though she ended up telling him anyway before he could agree or disagree.
