PERSONALITY
Connor is defined by indecision, and the few choices he makes are controlled by his anxiety. He's cautious to avoid saying the wrong thing, and would rather keep quiet than make a fool of himself. Seeing as it's difficult to go through life mute, however, he's forced to speak his mind eventually. To overcome his anxiety, he abandons all impulse control and acts recklessly before his nerves can catch up and paralyze him. He also tries to play up his confidence by cracking jokes and clever remarks, to the point where it's almost convincing. As long as no one gets close enough to see him sweating bullets, he seems like you're average cool guy with an ironic sense of humor.

While it's not in his best interests, or in his nature, Connor has the tendency to find himself on the wrong side of town. He's confronted more than enough close-calls to know better, but still gets himself into trouble more often than not. It's never pleasant dealing with the aftermath of a fight, but he still seeks out the danger like he's chasing a high.

APPEARANCE
He's fairly tall and has a lean build, with long limbs and an agile appearance. His eyes range from red to various shades of pink or magenta, depending on the lighting.

HEALTH
He's never been evaluated for any mental health conditions. He wouldn't believe there's something wrong with him even if it was written on his forehead. That being said, he likely suffers from anxiety and PTSD.

OCCUPATION
He's an assistant manager at what used to be a respectable retail store, like the equivalent of a target. His co-workers, however, are either too old and burnt out for customer service – or they're too young to care. He's pretty much the only one who tries anymore.

RESIDENCE
He lives with his mother, or rather she lives with him, in a small suburban home. He's taken over most of the ground floor while she stays in the basement and drinks all day.

FAMILY
His mother is still around and living in their family home, but Connor is paying the rent now. She was previously sleeping with their landlord, so he's decided paying the bills himself is the favorable alternative. He takes care of her more than she did for him in many respects, but he's not prepared to lose the only family he has.

BACKSTORY
Connor has trouble remembering his childhood, and is still questioning some details of events that happened. What he does remember is the constant yelling from next door, strange men lurking around the corners of his home, and his mother's downward spiral into addiction. Connor's biological father was almost never referenced, especially not by his mother, but there were always men around who came and went. He vaguely remembers instances where he would find his mother passed out drunk, assuming she was dead, as well as instances where he felt intimidated by the more aggressive strangers in his home. The chaos settled as he grew older and became used to how his mother behaved, but he still hasn't fully unpacked the resentment he feels for how she raised him.
