Kouki Yorusaki

Kouki was born in Kuhiro, the land where mist dominates the landscape for most of the year. Since he was seven, he was raised by family friends after his own parents died while defending the city. He was trained in the art of the swordsmanship and generally in combat skills combined with his innate paralyzing ability. In his early adulthood, he, along with a group of other young people, attempted to organize a rebellion against the existing system in the city. However, they were betrayed by one of the members, resulting in the massacre of almost all rebels.

During the rebellion, Kouki suffered serious injuries, being burned on his face and back. Despite the injuries, he managed to escape the situation and hide in Kadara, where the influence of the hunters from Kuhiro is minimal. Since then, he has set aside his katana and trains only to maintain physical condition, otherwise he's living more as a civilian. He focused on his passion for tattooing and has become one of the best tattoo artists in the city, securing a relatively peaceful life for himself.

He is a young man who's quite reserved, highly introverted, and quiet, occasionally even unpredictable. However, beneath his aloof demeanor lies a sharp intellect, strategic thinking, and a dose of altruism. Kouki dislikes commitments and rigid plans for the future, which is why he lives with his girlfriend without the need for marriage or having children. He's allergic to gluten.

Kouki is an average-height man with an athletic build. His notable features include a hooked nose, a dimple in his chin, sharp teeth, and visible scars on the left side of his face, often covered by strands of long hair. He typically dresses in fashionable pieces, and particularly favors loosely hanged suspenders. His most prominent tattoo is a sleeve at left arm covered with tribal patterns, equations and numbers. Kouki smells of ink and graphite; his favourite food is fried eggplant.
