Kiwi is a veteran when it comes to the world of turf wars and ranked battles. Starting back in Inkopolis when she was a teen, Kiwi was part of a hotshot rising group of youngsters taking the world by storm: lead by an ever brilliant prodigy named Pitaya. Whereas Pitaya sought fame and glory, Kiwi was more focused on enjoying the time spent together with her teammates. Unfortunately, the time spent under the spotlight was taken for granted. Nearly two years after their debut, the group would disband after an unfortunate accident left two of their members dead and Pitaya gravely injured. It was a terrible day that Kiwi never forget. But despite the awful circumstances, Kiwi perserved and continued to live in the world they all loved. Though...deep down it would never be the same.
Fast forward several years later, Kiwi has kept up with the trends and has taken a new role training newcomers in the Splatlands, helping them find their footing in the world of ranked matches. Her friendly demeanor helped her bounce around from team to team, spending years both in team comps and riding solo. She couldn't be happier with where she is now. Though it seems there are plenty of surprises still in store for her when she spots a once forgotten across the battlefield... And new friendships to form.

- While Kiwi is a charger main, she loves to experiment and try new weapons at any given opportunity
- She tries to avoid Salmon Run as much as possible. If offered she will politely decline. However, she's one of the first to show up when Big Runs happen. No one is sure why.
- She has a very large squid plush collection.
- Her best friend is an octoling named Bonnie. The two have been friends since they were teens. Bonnie was someone who helped Kiwi through the rough years following her original squad's breakup.
- Kiwi has a picture of every team she's been on. They are pinned to her wall in her bedroom.

Mallow is part of Pitaya's newest squad on her return to the competitive world. When they met, it was love at first splat. Literally. The two were on opposing teams and Kiwi, fully engrossed in the fight, showed no mercy to the poor squid. It didn't help that Pitaya had avoided her the entire fight, effectively throwing the match. Kiwi was beyond eager to meet everyone after the match and rightfully apologized if things got too intense. Mallow, however, was absolutely smitten. It was from their that new friendships bloomed into a future where the two would start to date. Kiwi loves Mallow to bits. Loyal to the end, she is excited to stay by his side for many years to come. The way their friendship ended years ago was rocky. Consumed by the guilt of what happened, Pitaya had effectively shut Kiwi out of her life for good, claiming it was better that she move on and forget about her. Heartbroken, Kiwi respected her wishes, but she wanted nothing more than to help her. In the present day, she still stands by it. Pitaya believes Kiwi harbors ill will for what happened when they were kids, but she is wrong. Kiwi never hated her. It's hard to gauge where they stand nowadays. Kiwi, however, is hopefully optimistic that as Pitaya comes around they might be able to call each other friends once more.
Bonnie has been with Kiwi through thick and thin. When the going got tough, Bonnie was the one to give Kiwi a place to stay while she constantly worked to make ends meet.
