Alice is the ‘girlfriend’ of Celia Ivey, but their relationship is not without its problems. Alice is a kind and gentle girl who’s ashamed of the way the casino is run and handled. She secretly hopes that she can dismantle the system.

Alice starts to develop an independence and budding crush after meeting Quinn Diamante and watching her play. She becomes convinced that if anybody is going to be the one to save her, it’s going to be Quinn.

Story

Alice Burton has never been good with gambling. Even with growing up in Las Vegas, she never was any good at winning. She is intrigued by the casino and all its players and wonders is gambling is a skill or just fate. Her favorite pastime is watching people play in the casino and trying to understand what’s in their head. She curious to know if Celia can ever be beaten.

She thought she was beginning to understand gamblers and their reasoning, but when Quinn Diamante showed up, everything was going to change.

Alice was the daughter of a Las Vegas magician. Her father tried to teach her everything he knew about magic until he passed away when she was seven. She bounced in and out of group homes until she was 17. Then, she met a woman who was running a brothel and started working there. She caught the eye of a professional poker player visiting Vegas, and he offered to “buy” her for an undisclosed amount. The pair went back to New Jersey and life was okay until he got a letter to play Celia back in Las Vegas.

After the man falls huge into debt with the casino, Celia proposes an offer for their final round. If he wins, he can win back all his money, keep Alice and go back to New Jersey. If Celia wins, she’ll forgive his debt, take Alice, and never allow the man to play at the Wonderland again. He agrees and Celia wins the hand. Alice has been with Celia ever since.
