Whenever Tergel closes her eyes, she is transported back to the grass  sea. Over her shoulder are the rocky mountain spines spreading their snowy fingers into natural barriers, cupping ice-cold lakes that are as  fiercely blue as the grassland's wide skies. These dramatic landscapes burn brightly in her memories, harking back to simpler times spent riding on  horseback with her family.

These days, Tergel fights to keep boredom away.  Every day is a repeat of the last: endless tourists and idle chatter. Demand for sturdy mounts is a good enough reason for Tergel to take up horse rearing as a trade.  When news of the Red Dragon Army planning to conquer the nation of Solamnia reaches Tergel's ears, the  promise of thrilling encounters ignites her wilting spirit. Without preamble, she abandons her job and takes off on her favorite mount.

Tergel is, after all, her father's vengeance.
