This AU takes place in the real world, where Virgo is pretty much a "normal" teenage girl... Except that she suffers from chronic nightmares and other troubles.
Because I want to keep a connection with her original universe, what she sees in her nightmare is basically everything that had and is happening in her original story. Virgo lacks sleep a lot, so during the day she may experience micro-sleeps. When that happens, her nightmares crawl back to her and once she snaps out of it, she confuses reality with her nightmares.
Things get to another level when she's extremely sleep-deprived or if she's had a very intense micro-sleep. She gets into this state when she can see ghosts, demons, basically every other-worldy creatures and monsters disguised as humans. That terrfies her, but she's convinced she's just hallucinating or confusing reality with her nightmares again. At this point she may become paranoid, yell at people or at things normal people think aren't there.
Basically Virgo has medium abilities, but she is simply not aware of it and thinks her condition is driving her insane.

Virgo grew up in a mid-class family that had originally bounds with the supernatural, some of her relatives were mediums. Except that gene skipped lots of generations and her family were happy that way, dealing with the supernatural had become a burden for them. So when Virgo starts manifesting and experiencing her mediumship abilities her parents immediatly want to get rid of it. She was just a child back then, her parents took her to experienced friends of them, which happened to be Gabriel's parents to have this ability suppressed thanks to a spell, while also making her forget about it. So after that things were fine... Except that when Virgo enters teenage years, nightmares, sleep deprivation and paranoi get to her... And her abilities break through the spell, and become even more intense.
Her parents not telling her anything about the supernatural bounds in her family and completely turning a blind eye on her condition only added to the fear and confusion and Virgo just closed-in. Good thing she had her cousin Morandi, who was also dealing with serious trouble, to share her disastrous experiences with. Doing the craziest teenage shit with her cousin helped her forgetting about her condition. Now Virgo's very slowly coming to terms and accepting her connection to the spirit world thanks to her friends. However there's always that time when she's alone at night, curled up in her bed, crying and waiting for the visions to go away.
Extras
- The amount of sleep she gets varies from 2 to 4 hours per night.
- She loves roller skating, and goes to tons of disco skating parties. Sometimes to skateparks but that's rarer.
- Loves roller skating on the streets, especially near the beach.
- Spends way too much time outside.
- Sunsets at the beach are her thing. With a slushie of course.
- Virgo doesn't do great at school, she skips lots of classes.
- High key into horror movies and horror series.
- She'd rather escape her problems than facing them.

- Absolutely refuses to take any medication of any kind.
- Virgo closes in when she's grumpy. Just don't talk to her or she'll brush you off. She'd rather be left alone until she feels better.
- She really knows how to put on an unapproachable face. She does that when she's all grumpy so everyone know they shouldn't talk to her. That unfriendly face is a warning sign.
- She can sound really mean, judgemental, or harsh, but this is purely unintentional.
- Doesn't know how to make proper apologies for her behaviour. She might just buy pizzas for everyone instead.
- Very expressive face, she has the best pout.
- Teeth gap and panda eyes makeup ! She only wears eye pencil on her lower lashlines tho.
