A vampire trying his best to keep on with his "vegetarian" diet. Darkoss turned his back to his past as a murderer and now tries to catch up the wrongs he's done by hunting down the people he once lived with. He perfectly knows his life is in permanent danger now that he's part of the Dawn Knights. That's also why he avoids getting too close to people: he doesn't want to put their life at risk, he already feels guilty enough !

Growing up, Darkoss was always in good terms with his sister, but his parents... Had clearly a preference towards her. He thought he didn't mind, as long as she was okay he thought he could keep on living like this until... Their parents got murdered by people from the Lair. He was 13 back then and... He was like a piece of clay, he used to live in a state of complete stillness and numbness towards his parents, he felt careless about what could happen next. So Keram took him under his wing and Darkoss was introduced to the Lair. He got in bad ways quiclky, that new way of life contented him honestly. He stayed there for a period of nearly 10yrs, until he brutally decided to leave. Actually he had started dating a girl who happened to be the Dawn Knights' leader's daughter, so of course he feared something bad would happen to her... And then there was the Choosing, he completely lost it when he saw what had happened to Keram and didn't want the same thing to happen to him. So he ditched the Plague and the Lair. Keram didn't take it well at all of course, he nearly killed him when he learnt Darkoss' decision. Basically Darkoss felt like he had to get himself forgiven for the wrongs he's done, so that's why in addition to become an affranchi, he decided to join the Dawn Knights as well. Needless to say he has the worst reputation in the Lair now.
Extras
- Being an affranchi means he must give up on anything related to his previous life, that includes drinking blood.
- And it's extremely difficult for him, he constantly feels vampiric impulses, more or less violent. When that happens, he bites his lips, or scratches the left side of his neck, where he was bitten.
- Also bites his own wrists from time to time.
- Smoking helps him calming down said impulses.
- On duty, he wears a device around his arms and neck to prevent him from using the sandencre (not allowed).
- Spear fighter, knows about to fire a gun as well.
- One may think the neck area is an erogenous zone for vampires but for Darkoss it's a total no-go zone.
- It's very easy to spot when he's nervous and angry, and so fairly easy to use that against him.
- Joining the Dawn Knights required him a whole new level of discipline and training he didn't have. Also it wasn't easy joining them in the first place, he the only non-human being among them.
