Mythio

Helmsman of the Burning Red Pirates, a cocksure thrill-seeker always in search of his next test of strength. He is the identical twin brother of Tattle.

Born on a Sky Island, as a baby his family's home was suddenly destroyed by a ship launched upward by a Knock-Up Stream, killing his family. Flung from his island by the destruction, he hurtled towardsfell from the White Sea and crash landed on Elbaf, home of the Giants, alongside a Mink baby from the wrecked ship. The Giants, while befuddled, were astounded by the innate strength displayed by the miracle of the two infants' survival. Storia, a particularly impressed Giant, took the pair in, naming the Sky child 'Mythio' and the Mink 'Tattle' and raising them as her own. 

The tribe however was reluctant to accept this, not having forgotten the betrayal of Charlotte Linlin at the Sheep's House, and so Storia took her children from the village to live within the wilderness of Elbaf. Relatively isolated, only occasionally interacting with the other islanders, the two grew up fully believing they were her biological children, Giants of Elbaf, and each other to be identical twins. Trained in combat by his mother, Mythio pushed himself excessively hard to overcome his lack of natural strength compared to the Giants and his sister, seeing the relative weakness he had been born with as a way to test himself. Through his persistent efforts, Mythio grew up to have absurd strength, able to hold his own against real Giants, having often ran away to the Elbaf village and sparring with them. However, he falls short of actually having been able to defeat a Giant in one-on-one combat, and so aims to continue improving until he surpasses them all and becomes respected as 'the Strongest of All Giants'.

Eventually, Storia fell seriously ill to an unknown disease. Mythio, conflicted seeing his mother and teacher's mighty strength so steadily disappear because of a tiny little virus, grew frustrated and berated her in an emotional fit of anger, saying he was appalled by the idea that she could die so unhonourably. Though regretful of his words, he was too stubborn to admit it and apologise, and instead stormed off to live on his own for a time, leaving Tattle to care for their ailing mother alone. Refusing to go home for several weeks, Mythio eventually heard a rumour from the village that Tattle too had fallen ill. Fearful of losing his family, the shock of this drove him back home, only to find that his sister had merely exhausted herself taking care of things alone. Relieved, Mythio apologised and rejoined his family, though he soon determined Storia's own self-declared recovery to be a lie.

Following Tattle's recovery, Mythio made plans to leave Elbaf. Having accepted the inevitability of his mother's condition, but unable to simply sit by and watch her die, he was determined to instead set out into the world in search of strength and honour that could make her proud. He did not admit this outright in fear of worrying Tattle, though Storia herself understood, but this backfired as his sister followed after him, determined to bring her foolish brother back home, the twins each unaware that the other had accepted their mother's inevitable demise.

Recklessly traversing the seas himself for some time, with his sister in pursuit, Mythio eventually encountered the Burning Red Pirates, quickly forming a rivalry with their equally cocksure captain, Ryuuda. Seeing their journey as a convenient means of travelling forward on his own adventure, he came aboard and joined the crew as their helsman, dragging Tattle along for the ride with his refusal to return home with her. An enthusiastic adventurer, he is keen on charging the ship ahead towards Ryuuda's every whim, finding his captain has a talent for smelling excitement upon the horizon.

Among the crew he is, in strength, second only to his sister, who conveniently abhors fighting. As such, he smugly declares himself their mightiest warrior, charging headfirst into battle with his trusty battleaxe and performing impressive feats of strength and reckless courage. Despite his confidence in his power, he is surprisingly obedient and loyal to his captain and senior crew; although he sees Ryuuda as weaker, and voices that opinion often, he believes it would be dishonourable to challenge the friend that graciously welcomed him aboard with mutiny. Despite this loyalty and his generally affable demeanour, his pride makes it difficult for him to grow close to most of the crew, his arrogance and stubborn nature being offputting on a personal level.
