Koo is a name that someone gave him, he decided to use this name as long as he lived after that special someone passed away... protecting the frozen land which is far away from any main continent. Why he lived longer than any other Meowl, he does not know nor the reason why he's still protecting this barren forgotten land... maybe deep inside he wished that special one would one day reincarnate and perhaps they would be reunited once again.
