Yateveo is a forest spirit responsible for purifying and eliminating the diseased and decaying life forms. He performs his deadly tasks with comparatively less pain for his subjects. Despite his profession, he is not a frightening figure by any means. On the contrary, his voice is soothing and comforting to the suffering beings before their demise. Yateveo's line of work encapsulates more of a warm, comforting hug after a long, terminal suffering.
Most of his body has been exposed to debilitating rot, which has cost him an arm and a great deal of his skin. For this reason, he covers most of his body, wearing a mask carved out of stone, as such material is resilient to any future events of blight and disease.
FUN FACTS --
- He sews and makes the patterns of his babushkas all by himself. Most, if not all, his clothing is made by hand, and he wears only bright colors to offset the bleak-colored blight that patterns his skin.
- Yateveo once loved the forest warden Casimir, whom they now are on no-contact terms. They're pretty much divorced.
- He has quite an extensive array of dyes, spices, and other trade goods in his repository. He enjoys the finer details of life, including that of good food, song and dance, poetry, and writing.
