Professor Tsubaki is one of the top neurosurgeons in the Johto region — working with both human and Pokémon patients. As a physician and neurologist, Yukari presents herself on the job as a kind, courteous, mild-mannered doctor, albeit somewhat reserved. Beneath her calm and professional exterior, she's a detatched and somewhat irresponsible woman, devoting her entire being to science. The few moments in which she isn't absorbing herself in her work, she can usually be found drinking. Her finest creation is also the one she regrets the most — Minmi.

Minmi is an espurr, completely synthesized by Yukari on a whim. Being a neurosurgeon, she takes an earnest interest in psychic type Pokémon and the effort to discover what exactly their abilities are derived from. Sometime in her mid-20's, she had gone on a bender after an incident involving █████████, holing herself up in her office and working fervidly without the endorsement of supervisors. Minmi was 'born' approximately three years into the experiment.

She treats Minmi as if she were a child — taking her everywhere, dressing her up, scolding co-workers who view her as a pet or property. Some say she's gotten enraged to the point of physical violence toward trainers that threaten Minmi.

However — to say that Yukari regrets creating Minmi would be an egregious understatement.
Somehow, she found the results of her frenzied episode appraised by researchers globally. Outwardly, Minmi is aesthetically pleasing - such is to be expected from a creature manufactured in a lab. Being her guardian, trainer, creator, ███, — Yukari knows well exactly what Pandora's box she's created for herself. Unstable. Neurotic. Prone to health issues. Frighteningly powerful. It wracks her with guilt.
