| Rarely seen with a large smile, R'natih seems to be easily misunderstood as an irritable and annoyed person. Only a few people would realize that under his frowning expression is a big heart that cares deeply for the wellbeing of most! Despite his slightly intimidating look from afar, he genuinely enjoys social interactions with anyone and tries his best to be a pleasant person to be around with. Once you get close, he enjoys being snarky as his sense of humor, but he means no harm—he makes sure to stay within his boundaries. He works as a freelancer, taking any sorts of jobs that fit within his morals, with an old hobby of being a skilled gambler, making him well known in the Gold Saucer—though he wishes to not be associated with that title anymore. Qumi'a - Lover - |
Upon their first encounter, R'natih could only scoff at this man's kindness, which he foolishly offers with no hesitation. Sooner or later he comes to realize that there is more to it than that; every side of Qumi'a he sees, good or bad, he seems to fall in love with him more and more. He never regrets a single day of meeting his lover. Every hour and minute that they spend together brings him a great amount of happiness and joy, which he will never exchange anything for. Much to his surprise is the fact that such a man can even handle his long sessions of talking and unpredictable personality. And because of this, with the addition to other reasons, he comes to treasure and care for Qumi'a deeply. Oftentimes, he hopes that Qumi'a would understand how much his selflessness worries him. Even so, he knows himself that it is out of pure love, to which he gladly would reciprocate anytime.

B A C K S T O R Y:
At a young age, R'natih was always showered with love and care by his parents, who escaped from their homeland to gain happiness amongst themselves and reject the patriarchal society of the tribes. They resided in a small settlement at Western La Noscea, Swiftperch. His parents taught and gave him everything they could, including basic skills of hunting and archery from his father. This was the norm in his life, for he was not taught anything about the culture of his bloodline and clan.
R'natih was 15 when the Calamity hit. When the catastrophe occurred, his parents gave him their life savings and urged him to escape as they stood back to help the townspeople. This was intended, for his parents knew that there is an extent they could afford feeding three people as their wealth hit its lowest, adding on his father's sickness and his mother's only ability cooking for the village. They decided amongst themselves that if something were to happen, they would entrust their only son all their belongings and sacrifice themselves for his wellbeing. In the end, R'natih managed to find shelter with a handful of other townsmen and survived the Calamity. He feared of going back to his home and face the extent of the damages done, so after honing his survival skills for some time, he walked to the nearest city, Limsa Lominsa, and arrived in Ul'dah.
Ul'dah was definitely not how R'natih had expected it to be. Already aggravated by the fact that his parents stayed behind to help some mere strangers when they could have survived, observing the people of lust and greed in the dark alleys of the city swirled inside of him feelings of frustration and anger at humanity. To take a breather, he went outside the city of Ul'dah and stumbled upon Alehouse Wench in Central Thanalan. He took upon requests and jobs by the people staying there in exchange for gil. Due to the abundance of those jobs, he resided in a nearby building for a while. He quickly became known within the bar. Despite his reluctance on socializing in the beginning, he slowly began to talk more to people.
One night, a man gave him a large sum of gil in thanks to R'natih's attention and willingness to chat. Ever since then, R'natih interacted with many different people, practicing on listening and talking in the right response a person would want him to.
