Daigo (Zen) (大悟), a Buddhist term meaning great enlightenment or great realization.

Daigo was a well reknowned human samurai who perished centuries ago at the hands of his former comrade. Struck by grief at his own death, Daigo vowed and declared, to the gods above, that he would not give up his life and soul.

The gods were impressed by his strong willpower, so the Goddess of Life and Death granted Daigo another chance at life. When Daigo awoke, he did not know where he was nor why he was there. The last thing he remembered was being stabbed in the back by his...his comrade, his best friend. He jolted up only to land right back on his chest. Letting out a loud "Humph," Daigo was graced with the presence of the Goddess of Life and Death. Daigo tried his best to bow to the goddess as far down as his body would let him. The Goddess advised him to raise his head and to look at her. Daigo did as he was told, because who was he to refuse a command from a goddess? The goddess gazed at Daigo soflty before the next words flowed out of her mouth. "Daigo. My precious child. Oh how you have been forsakened by your own. Show me what you can do to change this cruel world you live in. Show me the willpower you presented to the gods and I. You will face many more hardships, but never give up, my chiild. Keep your head held high." With that, the goddess was gone. Daigo tried to call out to her, but all that came out of his mouth was a grumble. Daigo took what the goddess had told him to heart. He was never going to give up. Never again. Daigo looked around, but everything seemed so dull in his eyes. Nothing like how he remembered. He realized that he had not walked since the moment he woke up. Without any hesitation, Daigo gave it his all to stand on his own two legs, but he kept losing his balance. Becoming frustrated, Daigo looked at his legs to see if he was injured, but what he saw he could not comprehend. Fur. He had fur on his legs...all four of them. TO BE CONTINUED!
