The youngest of 5 children, Talia was born to a Spanish mechanical engineer and Mexican-American competitive sports mechanic. Being the youngest she watched her family work their hardest in their family operated mechanic shop. She was too young to work in the shop so she helped around the house whenever she could, as she was the youngest her older siblings would do a lot of the house work. She tended to follow her mother around when she was inside, like a baby duck.
She didn't like being babied so she started trying to learning. She started helping with cooking and growing out of her baby-act. She helped around, even cleaning up after her siblings. Despite being younger she acted like the oldest, even her appearance seemed to say as much as she was already growing pretty fast.
As she was getting older she realized she didn't have a gift for mechanics, the most she could do was successfully not crash a motorbike or car. She wanted to more helpful despite this. By chance she ended up taking up photography after finding a old camera, which clicked with her immediately. Taking before-and-after photos of client's cars and motorcycles for the family business. She rode around with her older siblings, whenever they allowed her to come along, to take scenic photos of places and people. She loved taking photos of people when they were their happiest self.
Talia was pretty successful at school being on the track team and winning multiple awards. She joined the photography club her Junior year meeting her then boyfriend, later fiancé, Adien. After high school she stayed at home taking a break to think about what to do now, whether she should go to college or stay in the family business. Her boyfriend seemed to already have everything planned out for himself, he already took college courses in high school and was starting college that semester.
Talia was engaged to Adien at the time. They had talked and sorted out what they would be doing after his final semester in college, traveling around the world for a bit before settling down. Taking photos together and such, basically cute honeymoon stuff for like around a year. They knew it wouldn't be that long, as both wanted to start a family together. The Toxin was released the day Talia and Adien were telling the family about their traveling arrangement, as she wanted to wait until everyone was home to announce their engagement, she had planned the marriage to happen two months after the oldest came back.
Her parents were home at the time, they were all talking when the Toxin was dropped. Chaos ensued. Within minutes her father was dead and mother dying, Adien was holding on but seemed like he could die any minute. She as struggling to try keeping them alive, a mutation broke in attacking them. She was lead out by Adien was the mutation ripped apart her mother in front of her. They struggled to get away from the mutation, trying to get to the car. Talia was driving them out of the neighborhood but were hit, the other car pinned Adien underneath forcing her to leave him behind.
When Talia lost everyone she loved she emotionally broke down. The only thing that kept her alive was her fiance's last wish, for her to live on. She lived like a zombie before meeting Pyske. She lived on her own for a bit before finding a small surviving group. Most of the group members were husks of people, everyone losing all of their family. No one in the group knew each other.
She was found by a scout group and was brought into Pyske. Though she doesn't know what happen to that small group she was in before, or what happen during that time as it was all a blur she doesn't want to think about. She joined Lar's group originally as they were the ones who saved her from her zombie-like state. She went to parties and joined in scouting groups hoping that maybe just maybe at least one of her family members were still alive.
Talia moved to Karen's group after finding out her older sister was alive. She now helps out at Soda Squad HQ, mainly just taking photos of the members and cooking for everyone. Not long after the explosions incidence happen, she was safe but left to take photos of the wreckage that had happen. Especially what happen in the hospitals and tunnels.
Talia also travels around each factions whenever she can, taking pictures of the post-war world they inhabited. Usually she'll document one of the members of Soda Squad when she travels with them. She still takes scenic photos though she prefers the photos she took before the Toxins.
