1st is one of the four Nerlings. He is the primary antagonist of season 1, a minor antagonist in season 2, a neutral character in season 3, and a hero in season 4.

| 1st was created with the other 3 Nerlings when the Nerus split themself into 4 parts.

1st starts off as rude, bossy and abrasive. He is short-tempered, often getting into fights with 2nd. It is revealed later that he is quite insecure, but does want to do what is best for the Nerus. 1st begins feeling weaker as the series goes on, until he eventually leaves the other Nerlings, experiencing true love and wanting to help humanity.

| 1st had mixed feelings about Vivi at first, but seems to take comfort in her presence when she is kind to him. The two of them grow to support each other, and 1st helps Vivi leave her abusive relationship. The two remain friends even after the ending, and the Nerus retains fondness for Vivi.
| 1st and 2nd are always bickering; 2nd plays on 1st's insecurities and mocks them. In turn, 1st finds 2nd annoying. He does not come to fear him until much later.
| 1st seems to like 3rd the most, as 3rd rarely talks and usually does what he's told. However, 1st does come to fear him and his strength.
| 1st believes 4th to be stupid and hopeless, getting tricked by him and underestimating his true nature.
