Commander Reed

Commander Reed is Pip's closest and most trusted friend. While he's much taller than her, they're actually about the same age (if we're counting how clones age twice as fast). He's a lot calmer and more calculating than Pip and balances her out. He's allowed to call her Pip or Piper, and does. After Pip finds the rest of the 297th homes, he chooses to stay with her.
