An infamous Sun God, you may have heard the stories of Sol. Once a well respected God, he is now nothing more than a horrid legend among the humans; known for his destruction of half of the planet hunderds of years prior. Despite being banished from direct contact with the earth and humans, he still oversees his duties for the light, life, and warmth of the earth. The question remains, however; why would such a passionate, well respected God turn on what he swore to protect and nurture? To start his journey as a new guardian, he chnaged his name to Savitr.

The story of Sol dates back millions of years, but has only been shared by word of mouth of the humans for a few hundred. Once living peacefully among humans, Sol was one of the Gods of that time. He was well respected by all, God and human alike, and adored humans and animals of all kinds, ensuring the light, life, and warmth of everything that inhabited the earth. Something changed, one day, however.
Every day, Sol would fly over the river along the forest. He heard beautiful, enchanting singing; always questioning its origin. He adored this sound, and made traveling over the river his regular path. One day, his curiosity got the best of him. He listened closely to the singing and followed it, finding what he thought to be a beautiful nymph. Originally, she hid from him, as he was very large and presented a very powerful, natural force. But every day, he would return, listening to the nymphs tune. Eventually, she showed herself to him, and the two very quickly "fell in love." Little did he know, he was the only one falling.
One day, as Sol made his way to the river early, he heard the nymph singing a different tune. Upon closer inspection, he watched as the one he loved serenaded another. However, she didn't look like herself. This nymph was not one of pure nature, especially not one of ministration. She was, in fact, a nymph of evil, under the name of Valissa. Upon this discovery, Sol went into a fit of rage. He swore to destroy everything around her, and did just that. Over half of the planet was set aflame, destroying any sign of life; millions of humans and animals were killed in the process. Before he could destroy the rest, he was captured by the other Gods and banished from earth. This event marked the end of Gods direct contact with humans, and the memories of humankind were wiped; leaving them with nothing but legendary tales of the Gods.
