Dream Mage Avatar
Profile
In the Dreamplanes, there are whispers of creatures with no markings, neither dream, nor nightmare… they could be many things, a mortal lost in the Dreamplanes, a creature wandering from another's dream... or, more likely than not. A very special type of Mage.
A Dream Mage.
A Mage who's magic only works in the Dreamplanes, they have no useful magic or abilities in the waking world, and yet, in the world of subconscious thought and hopes, they can shape, transform, and change their dreamself, the dream world around them, the inhabitants, and even others. Their self-proclaimed duty is to protect, wander, or simply observe the Dreaming World for issues that might arise, have fun... or, like this one... have other duties.
This strange, frightful, skull headed bird Dream Avatar, named "Craindre" has been a bit of a blight for dreamers in recent years, it has a habit of entering the dreams of people sleeping, and subjecting them to their worst fears, or drawing a Nightmare towards them. It claims that overcoming their fear will make them stronger, and better people, more ready to face the waking world... And yet, should one fail to overcome the challenge, or their fear, Craindre leaves them in a horrific nightmare tailor made to maximize the fear and terror one would fear, and worse yet, they will be unable to wake for at least eight hours, and be plagued with crippling fear for at least a few days.
Should they fail numerous times, Craindre has no qualms about mentally scarring them because after all, maybe they aren't ready for some parts of the Waking World after all...
Recently, a Dream Mage stands accused of transforming Dream Creatures into Nightmares, and Nightmares into Dream Creatures, though the transformation is temporary, and never permanent, this shift in the Dreamplanes of Larutan is causing issues, the walls between the waking world and the Dream is weakening... and the one behind it must be caught.
Craindre's penchant for havoc and terror have highlighted her as a prime suspect in the case. Could it really have such ulterior motives? Or is it completely unrelated to her...?
