Among the Khazdovar the women often hold the authority and power, and as such the eldest daughter of the Queen is the one who will inherit the most power. Jayne being the second sister, older than the third but younger than the first, was not going to get much. The youngest sister was promised a lot as love was poured to her and the Eldest had her birthright. The Smart second sister wanted to have her own power, a domain to rule as her own. So she found a Pearl, a magic one that she stole from an elderly wizardess, and hatched a plan.

 She knew the power of magic and the veil between realms, clever as she is, she wanted to become queen of the Rift. the most powerful person in the most important of places holding all of reality hostage as Queen.
