Personality

Leila is a quiet, quick-witted but reserved young woman. As quiet and reserved as she is, she possesses a witty sense of humor that often catches others off guard, as it is not often for any sort of quick remarks to come from her. Despite her quiet wit, Leila can sometimes come across as aloof or detached, having some sort of airy demeanor around her. She tends to keep to herself and is often lost in thought, which can make it difficult for others to get to know her on a deeper level. However, those who take the time to get to know her will find that she is a loyal and trustworthy friend, with a deep sense of empathy and compassion.

The demigoddess is rather introspective and contemplative, preferring to think things through before speaking or taking action. The young woman is a deep thinker and tends to see the bigger picture, rather than getting caught up in small details. She is able to see patterns and connections that others may not, and is always seeking to expand her knowledge and understanding of the world around her. Despite her reserved nature, Leila is fiercely loyal to those she cares about and will do whatever it takes to protect them. She may not always express her emotions openly, but her actions speak louder than words. She finds solace in the peace and quiet of the natural world, and often draws inspiration from her surroundings for her hobbies. In her free time, Leila enjoys painting and doing unordinary things, whatever they might be.

Background

Isra Yildiz, a hardworking pharmacist, met Somnus late one evening in a cafe, randomly bumping into the Roman god. WIth a coffee in her hands, the two bumped into one another, coffee spilling upon the casual fit that the roman god was disguised under. A thousand apologies spluttered from the young woman’s lips as she hurriedly attempted to fix her mistake. The god steadied the young woman telling her that it was no issue really. Only upon her persistence to make it up to him in some form or the other, she offered to buy him another drink. An offer of true companionship really, that just blossomed into something more. The two seemingly hit it off from there, leading them to going on dates more frequently. A romantic relationship blossomed in just under a year. Eventually, the two would find themselves parting, Somnus, required to return back to his duties and leave Isra with a parting gift. Although disheartened, the young woman understood whatever had been told to her. Left with a letter and a daughter, their daughter, Isra had named her ‘Leila’, after the night.

Leila grew up with a hardworking, single mother, who by under all definitions was loving and patient. That’s how she had always been, and having a child with her lover didn’t sway that. While she worked late hours, she always made sure that Leila was taken care of, even when it was coming back late to her daughter. Leila grew up watching her mother embody the definition of a hard worker. Isra often brought home little trinkets or candy for her daughter. An honest woman she was, who wore her heart on her sleeve. Leila admired her mother from a young age, and still does truly. It was no surprise when Leila began to take after her mother, a loving woman with a variety of passions, but unfortunately stuck in the field she was in. It was not that she despised her career, it was decent. It made good money, enough for her and her daughter to live comfortably so that they would not be struggling. Leila, knowing the importance of money and hard work from a young age was never the one to really ask for much, taking whatever was given with a simple thank you, before carrying off to do something else. From a young age, the quiet girl developed a passion for the arts, history, the night sky, and everything in between. Like mother, like daughter they say. It was a love that went deeper than simple appreciation. It carried over into her teenage years, where Leila proved to be a hard working student as well. As much as she could be, rather, often surprising others with her unconventional ways of thinking. Whimsical and dreamy and stupid as some liked to call it. Regardless, things like that never fazed her, and Leila carried on with her life. As she entered her teenage years, Isra had developed a new companionship with another, Amir, and the two of them had hit it off as well. While initially unfazed by it, Leila had begun to see how it lifted her mother up in more ways than one. The mundane but comfortable life had brightened. If her mother was happy, then so was she. Amir, a history teacher at a local high school, had also taken a liking to Leila. Eventually getting her approval to marry her mother, both adults had gotten married three years later. Treating Leila like his own, the little family were simply content with the life they now led. It was a new change for the demigoddess, and more to come later on. It was fine.

It was almost like a twist of fate. One day, when coming back from a nearby shop to get groceries, she had been presented with a letter by her mother, who had been waiting for her in the living room beside a gray wolf. The older woman looked to be crying, her eyes red and tear stains upon her cheeks, as she gestured for her daughter to sit beside her. Curiously, Leila was hesitantly opening the letter from an unknown address and a wax seal with the Roman SPQR engrained in it. Her mother did not tell her much, only that it was given by her father before he had departed .. raising questions for who he was. A reasonable explanation perhaps. It told her of her heritage and where she was meant to be. After some time, she was taken to the Wolf house, remaining there for training for a few years, discovering some abilities, before being shipped off to the Legion after proving to be worthy.
