Elra

PERSONALITY.

Unfailingly polite, if a bit unapproachable due to her aloof nature. She thinks of her own intellect as her dearest companion and such, spends most of her time alone. This may have led to a bit of a complex. As humans have dominion over animals and nature, Elra believes herself to have dominion over people, thus becoming a 'higher' life form. However, she maintains a good relationship with her teachers and classmates, regardless of how simple she finds them. The only people she truly cares for are artists and those she considers equals. The act of creation - art for the sake of art - elevates artists above mortality and into the sublime. Those she considers equals are few and far between, but she craves the rush of crossing blades with another and being forced to expend actual effort into her thesis. Metaphorically, of course, but physical blades are not out of the question.

BACKGROUND.

Not very traumatized tbh. Just a little freak child who grew up to be a weird loner adult. She was born as a "spare", just a stand-in in the event that her brother turned out to be a disappointment. After he ran away to college overseas, her family gave up on him and turned their focus onto Elra, shaping her into a respectable heir for the family. She recieved her lessons on business and politics with disinterest but went along with them for lack of any other commitments. After a disastrous dinner party with the company shareholders and Elra's inability to deal with insipid toadies, her parents were pressured to send her off to boarding school to "cultivate her character" into something more palatable. Elra, having expected this eventuality, suggested staying with her grandfather overseas and attending Lady Grace's Academy for the Gifted. The rest, as they say, was history.

CURRENT LIFE.

Currently, Elra is a second year at Lady Grace's Academy for the Gifted. She has a work study at the school library and runs both the Special Collections department and the school fencing team with an iron fist. The less said about her vice-captainship of the debate team, the better. Just picture Phoenix Wright cases but with less object throwing and more cited philosophy text throwing. An and Elra are forces of nature that the rest of the team just watches with popcorn. Regarding her relationship with An, she seems to have the opposite problem as her grandfather and is under the impression that they have been dating for a year now. After all, her knowledge on typical relationship progression indicates that they had crossed the threshold beyond rivals and what else is left afterwards than to be lovers?
