Lana (Radiant Slash)

Lana (Radiant Slash) is an athletic and extroverted magical girl, capable of unleashing light-based sword beams that can rapidly be let out with high precision, but low damage. 

Personality

Lana is extroverted, and is often the center of attention. She always shares words of kindness with others, in the hopes of brightening their day. She is also skilled in some hobbies of hers, such as dancing. Despite these skills, she never brings them up, as she prefers any attention she gets to be fully natural, letting skills shine by themselves. She strongly dislikes gossip, as she does not want to spread negative information about others, regardless of if they are real or fake.

When Lana awakened at age 12 and a half, she was initially very excited to be able to protect the city, though she struggled greatly the first few nights. Not because of skill, or fear of monsters, but the fear of the dark. She was able to circumvent this by carefully choosing patrol routes that were in more lit areas, on top of using her sword as a lantern. This eventually allowed her to be more willing to patrol in the darker areas, but she still has great trouble patrolling in the darkest of places.

Lana eventually started to incorporate dances with her attacks, which gained her quite a lot of attention when filmed by civilians in their homes, though this was not her intention, as she simply wanted to do them for fun. While she doesn’t mind the attention by itself, she does get upset when asked for merchandise to get sold of her likeness, as she strongly dislikes the capitalization of magical girls. Even the city government are interested in promoting her, as she fits very well with what they want the public to imagine what magical girls are like. Lana always turns these offers down, even if she would get heavily paid as a result; she does not want Magical Girls to be portrayed as idols with little to no flaws, and almost no internal struggles.  She wants the public to know that it is actually very challenging, and very taxing on one's mental health, with their personal lives being deeply intertwined with their duties. Saldy, the offers have been so persistent, she fears the city might use her for this purpose without her permission. She also sees shows like the Daylight Update and Twilight Update as reinforcing the false ideas of MGs being perfect warriors, so she also avoids being followed by someone with a camera for this reason. Again, while she is perfectly fine with any attention she gets being fully natural, she is absolutely not okay if she is gaining it for monetary reasons.

Physical description

Lana has golden eyes, and very long, cream colored hair (formerly gray eyes and brown hair), extending all the way down to her middle back, when not tied up. Her sigil is on the center of her upper back, and is a sword fully implanted in the shape of the sun, with the blade piercing through the entirety of the shape, long enough to have much of the blade reappear on the other end. When she transforms, her hair is tied with gold bands in a long braid, and wears a gold crown upon her head. She also wears earrings containing an image of her sigil. She wears a broadly blue dress, with short yellow sleeves, as well as yellow bands, one around her waist and another close to the bottom, with the bottom-most portion also being yellow. An image of her sigil is on the part of the dress that covers the actual sigil. She wears tall gladiator sandals, extending up to just below her knees.

Powers

Can conjure a sword, capable of rapidly lashing out sword beams of light. The strength of the beams varies greatly depending on how hurt she is; if she is injured, they will not do much damage. Her sword can also be raised, with light pointing towards the direction of monsters. She can raise her blade skyward to unleash a blinding ray to all nearby monsters, instantly killing the weaker monsters, but drains large amounts of her magic.
