Etheria is not from the universe they currently reside in, here in Heartcatch. In fact, they aren't even from a parallel universe to this one. They are from a universe far separated from the universe they ended up in, and it took them ages to get to this one. However, once they saw this universe and the Pokemon that populated it, they simply decided they would stay. They introduced themself to the other deities in the outer realm of Heartcatch, and explained what they were doing here, and why they've chosen to stay. The other deities officially adopted them as one of their own, and Etheria truly couldn't be happier.
Previously a synthetic Pokemon made from the immortal DNA of several legendary Pokemon, Etheria is now the deity of multiverse travel and interconnections, since due to their dimension hopping they found themself being able to see thin threads between others and choose to use this knowledge to study how these somehow connected Pokemon navigate their connectedness, if they choose to at all.
