Neon Strings is a high spirited gal, always willing to play music to lift spirits. She's a bit insecure when it comes to her looks, but is more than confident in her music. She's not much of a get up and go pony when it comes to hanging out, shed much prefer to stay home and listen to the classics while reading a good story or writing a new song. She is more than happy to act silly and party hard when she's in the right environment, other than that she is well mannered and shows her emotions right on her face even if she doesn't say anything.
Neon Strings is the child of Vinyl Scratch and Octavia.
Once Vinyl and Octavia decided they wanted a child of their own they easily reached out through their network of contacts and found a doctor who was helping ponies of the same sex have children through a gender bending spell. Though originally Octavia was going to be the one to carry the child, once discovering all the details that went with carrying a child Octavia, for lack of better terms, panicked. Vinyl managed to calm Octavia down and decided that she would carry the foal, besides she knew Tavi liked being on top anyway~
Once the spell had been cast and Vinyl became pregnant Octavia slightly regretted not being able to go through with the pregenancy but Vinyl calmed her fears with her mellow personality and stated that she would be a great dad, and besides it gave Vinyl an excuse to sleep in every day.
Once Neon Strings was born both mares spoiled her with their love of music, they had arguments sometimes about which direction she should take but eventually decided on letting the music take Neon where she was meant to be.
As Neon grew up she enjoyed spending time and going to concerts with her Mom and Pops (Vinyl managed to get Neon to call Octavia that when she was younger, much to Octavias dismay and Vinyls delight). It was quickly discovered, after Neon Strings became lost in a crowd and she started to cry, that she hated being in crowds even with her moms.
She grew up with a love for all music and was afraid to let one of her moms down so she found a way to combine both of their styles for one mare to play, and she started playing the electric cello when she was little and never put it down since.
