Delta's mother always said he had his head in the clouds, but how could he not when above them was an infinite galaxy full of mystery and life? He hatched mid-air, his mother carrying his egg to their new home. The first thing he saw when he opened his eyes were the stars above and the vastness of the space beyond the atmosphere. This inborn sense of wonder for the cosmos is why, Delta's mother guessed, he had stars scattered across his body. Delta saw these patterns as a sign, a prophecy of sorts. He knew that his destiny was to study, and one day finally reach those glittering lights.

As he grew up, Delta neglected the fighting lessons his mother urged upon him in favor of breath control, flight, and cold weather training. Living in the mountain city helped with all of these. He studied every scroll that ever mentioned space.

As soon as he was an adult, he prepared himself for his inevitable journey out of the atmosphere. However, just as he was about to set off, he heard news of more dragons with stars all over their body who claimed to be space elementals like him. Intrigued, Delta put his mission on hold to see what knowledge of the cosmos these dragons had to offer.
