This Politoed is from a different universe in the future where an apocalypse has happened and a swamp has surfaced its way into a lot cities. This caused alot of Pokemon to spontaniously evolve or change? Into something else entirely. Scientists and professors are very shocked to see so much of a Pokemon's DNA change so rapidly, seemingly fusing with the outside environment that they are a part of. There doesn't seem to be a cure, but that's okay for many wild Pokemon.

This Politoed however, has only changed in type and appearance. He very much likes to help other Pokemon when there is technically a natural disaster taking place. You will find them diving into mud to save others and humans sometimes as well. He's seen as some of the surrounding village's hero.
