Blackrock's GREATEST scientist and head of the robotics division usually has his fake "nice", loud, and obnoxious attitude when around other people, whereas in reality hes a very sadistic and manical individual.
A lot of innocent people have died because of his unethical experiments and attempts to find a cure for his illness by injecting the subjects with poison (which either kills them quickly or slowly) and testing antidotes.

Their relationship really went downhill after the incident between Subspace and Medkit. Subspace doesn't want to associate with Hyperlaser whatsoever and only calls him "acquaintance" or "coworker." This of course hurts Hyperlaser, but Subspace did care enough to revive him, so maybe he still cares for him atleast a little.
Before the incident they just had usual sibling bickering and hating but now Subspace basically has a delusional obsession of just killing and or hurting medkit to the point if an unrelated person reminds him of Medkit even a little he will despise them and want them dead
