Junko is a magazine model and has become quite popular, especially among the boys at her school. She has a mischievous personality and tends to blurt out things without thinking about them, this often causes her trouble and makes people think of her as rude. She is friends with several other "popular" girls at her School but she's not very fond of any of them, she thinks that their friendship is shallow and full of lies - If this is true for all the girls isn't known, but at least one of the girls she is friends with has started talking badly about Junko behind her back.

• She has a crush on one of her classmates, Yuya Hashimoto (橋本 雄也), who also happens to be her Neighbor and former Childhood friend. She doesn't know how to deal with this crush as she believes, wholeheartedly, that Yuya dislikes her. There is also the fact that one of her friends seems to have a crush on him as well, and Junko doesn't want to "steal someones Boyfriend" as her friend told her that she's already dating him.
• Her Mother went missing a few months ago. No one had seen her leaving their family home and yet she was gone, seemingly having disappeared into thin Air. Her Husband was at work at the time and only Junko was at home, but she, too, didn't see anything - At least, that's what she told the Police officer. In reality, Junko saw her Mother being swept away to another world, enveloped in a ghostly glow, never to be seen again.
• After the disappearance of her Mother, Junko became increasingly interested in the Paranormal world and sought out Information regarding it. This eventually led to her the Paranormal research Club at her local School which also operated a Paranormal Website hosting blog posts about strange Phenomena in their Area. There she met Kayoko Dōmeki (百目鬼 香代子), the Clubs leader and owner of the Website.
