Ambrosio came from a strictly conservative family. His parents were extremely homophobic, and his sister followed them without hesitation. Ambrosio, however, was the black sheep of the family. When he turned 18, he moved to the city in hopes of starting a family, but he quickly fell into debt and had to move back in with his parents. His mother set him up with a girl she knew, and planned the marriage sooner than intended. After they got married, they had a son. 

A the next two years went by smooth; Ambrosio faked his love for his wife, but he loved his son with all his heart. A mistake made while drunk caused him to bring a guy home when his wife was at work. When she returned, she caught him in bed with a man, and went into a jealous rage. She picked up the gun Ambrosio's father gave them (for defense, of course) and shot Ambrosio's lover, their son, and Ambrosio before killing herself. A neighbor heard the commotion and called the police.

Only Amb survived.

After the incident, things only got worse. Long story short, he crossed a witch and was cursed with lycanthropy.
