Personality: Bitter, cynical, yet an entertainer. Betelgeuse exists under the mantra 'the show must go on,' and will work despite any personal vendettas or physical/emotional problems he is facing. He is work horse and will not complain about it, all the while harboring a malignant and slow roasting evil. To the crowd he is a fun, energized person who always stays in character. In private, he keeps his grievances to himself. Alone, he breeds a white-hot rage that, more often than not, he inflicts upon himself to keep from inflicting on others and tarnishing his reputation. As such, he can tear away painlessly as his fur and skin and tear it off to reveal bone. This slowly regrows over time. No blood or muscle is seen when he does this; only bone.

History: Betelgeuse is a construct, brought to life by alchemy and necromancing means. He is the bits and pieces of torn apart people, animals, or other cruxes. His birth was a destructive one, one of lightning and fire, and not one of peace or longing. He was not born to an old lonely alchemist, or a student of alchemy messing about; he was, instead, born from the cynical and bitter remains of a man wanting to create life.
This man then used Betelgeuse as a plaything; the rotting corpse who could reanimate or tear away at his own skin only for it to rebuild was a masterpiece. The man joined a traveling circus, and there, Betelgeuse reigns. He can do almost anything any other performer can do; juggling, tight-rope walking, clownish antics, lion taming, dare devil jumps; all are things Betelgeuse can do. He can even pose as ringmaster, on occasion. When in private he is tortured and has no will of his own, in public he enjoys the sway and control he has over the audience, and relishes their applause. He is their servant, and would do anything for them.
