Background: Kaelyn is a low content wolfdog, her parents were purposefully bred so that the puppies could be sold as pets. Well a family that wasnt educated on wolfdogs bought her, and learned the hard way that they are not regular dogs. They weren't able to handle her energy levels, they didnt train her so she got bored and destructive in the home, the children were allowed to ride on her and pull on her ears and tail, mess with her while she ate. Even through all that, she's never hurt a soul. One day, the kids were using her as a jungle gym, stepping and crawling on her, one fell and landed down on her hard, causing her to yelp out in pain and she then growled at the child asking for space. That was the final straw. The people threw her outside on a tie out, without any food, water, or shelter. About 2 weeks went by. Nobody had come out to her, she was starving and cold, drinking mud puddles that formed after rain. The rope that they tied her out with had been in the elements for a while before her, and it was already rotted. In an attempt to get up and chase a chipmunk to eat, she met the end of the rope, that promptly snapped in half. She was free! She wasn't a pet anymore. She was a stray street dog. Some time went by and she had joined a pack of dogs that accepted her. They became her family, and she ran the streets with them for a few years. But people didnt take kindly to stray animals, and the pound caught up to them. They took her family, with only her getting away. The chase was on, and they ended up herding her into the forest. She didn't stop running until she was nearly collapsing. Not knowing where she was, what to do, another family lost, she laid down and sobbed herself to sleep. Luck was FINALLY on this poor animals side, as she had stopped in the territory of a pack of wolfdogs, such as herself. And was awakened to and older looking Wolfdog near her. His name was Lyle. He was kind, and presented himself calmly yet strong. This was his territory after all, he could have scared her away, but they talked and he offered her a space within his pack. Nowhere else to go, she accepted. and 3 other animals like herself stepped out of hiding. They taught her how to survive out here in the wilderness, and in no time she felt like one with the pack. A new family to call her own, and the one the universe decided she could stay with. She grew particularly close to Bear, a gruff and rather unfriendly wolfdog that was bred for dog fighting, but they both have seen human unkindness, coming from their world, so she could relate with him in a way. Things were good, and she was happy, wholly and entirely happy.
