Saki is rather pointlessly optimistic, being so trusting to the point where she will often spend time wandering the facility even during nighttime hours. She’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she tries her best to encourage everyone around her. Saki is terrified of speaking her mind, and would much rather follow what other people tell her to do.
She wanted to follow after her father, a basketball coach, and become an insanely talented basketball player. Her short stature - at 4’11 - made it difficult, but what ended up deterring her was when she failed to make the team and had to endure endless bullying from the girls who’d made the team. It was so bad that Saki ended up transferring schools, and eventually got into table tennis - aka, ping pong - instead, although she often feels like it’s such a nothing sport compared to what she originally wanted.
