“King” - 15 yrs. - he/him
A somewhat delusional teen who truly believes himself to be a “main character” of sorts. He’s incredibly rude to everyone, including his best friend, simply by nature of how amazing he thinks he is. Do NOT call him Kingsley, he insists his name is just “King”.
Being the only kid gifted with magic from his hometown of Smalltownsville, and being encouraged by his doting parents, King entered into a magic school fully believing he’d be the most talented kid there. When he found out that wasn’t true.. he doubled down on his ego, eager to prove that he’s truly as incredible as he believes.
He has wildspeak, so he can talk to animals; oftentimes, he treats them with much more respect than he would an actual person. King is also somewhat of a conspiracy theorist, making up and contributing to rumors around his school’s campus. He especially ascribes to there being some curse where people are pushed off the cliffside nearby the campus - in reality, he’s just insanely aquaphobic and uses that rumor as an excuse to stay away from the water..
