Kamus awoke after dying in a small room on a soft bed. The last thing he remembers is... choking on a grape? No, that can't be right. He was a warrior, a hero! He was Kamus the Brave, a tiefling who helped lead the charge in saving his small island nation from an evil vampire lord! There is absolutely no way he died choking on a grape. But that's how he remembers it.

He got up from his bed, looking into the mirror on the opposite wall. Right where he could feel the phantom grape blocking his airway was a scar. Well, obviously no one could find out about this. That was the most important thing. The second most important thing was figuring out where the hells he was, and why he was alive.

Stepping out of his room, he finds himself coming face to face with Nello, a shifter who seemed to be half made up of impressive prosthetics, a cloaked figure who introduced himself as Mishahull, and a kindly old man who called himself Mananan. He explained that the wold was in shambles, and that he needed to bring back ancient heros of the legends to help him save it. It had been hundreds of years since they all had died, and Mananan revived them in the hopes that these heroes can take up arms again to reunite the waring nations and work together to stop a astral threat that looms over them.

Kamus and his new found friends set off on a campaign to do as they have been asked. Along the way they save lives, gain allys, and even bring home a magical chicken. Mananan also brings in his friends, some of which include the orc siblings Gnash and Nynsk, a warforged artificer by the name of Heart, and a beautiful eleven wizard who introduces himself as Alexander. With them and many more backing them up, Kamus, Nello, and Mishahull eventually find themselves face to face with an astral dreadnought who seeks to force the astral plan to merge with the material one. After many rounds of greuling combat, multiple moments where all three of them were passed out, and a very well placed wish spell, the three ancient heros and their wizard friend manage to stop the monstrosity from doing further harm.

Having saved the world, the heroes are treated as, well, heroes. There are weddings, celebrations, first kisses, and a very warm hug from Mananan.
