"Your agony won't be in vain, minion. Let your shriek be the alarm to my arrival."

A drow who was often prone to quickly resort to force rather than discussion, although it was more due to it being what kept working for her rather than out of finding any joy in hurting others. Despite the emphasis in social engineering and manipulation present in drow society, Thorne never had much opportunity to learn the ins and outs of other people and was socially inept to a great fault, a trait developed by the negligent parents she had, who locked her away from the world in her room while they were both away on work. Finally snapping as she went through puberty, she managed to flee away from such a restrictive environment, but being thrown away in an unknown and uncaring world made her life miserable. Unable to even properly communicate with others, she learned the easiest way out for her was through using her fists rather than words. Through the following decades, she matured not only as an elven adult but as a feared lowlife thug, and one who simply could not be reasoned with.

But one night, travelling further than usual from the citadel's center and deeper into its outskirts, she found an archfey. Bewildered by the sight of something glowing so bright amidst the blackest dark, she was offered a pact as the potential patron saw her inner turmoil. In exchange for her loyalty, Asandra would receive not only greater power, but also abilities signatured to those blessed by the fey, of social manipulation through magic. Seeing this as the opportunity to leave the hellhole she had for a home to venture out into the surface and begin a life anew as someone who'd finally be able to socialize, she didn't ask a question more before signing off herself to reemerge as another being, brimming with potential.

Despite her new earned, (un)naturally high charisma, she's not one to care much for others beyond a superficial level in order to keep amicable relations, seeing them only for how valuable they can be as potential assets to serve her (and her patron's) own goals. The only exception seems to be Saria Viola, a wood elf met in a small town. Initially "respecting" (but really only coping with envy) her for being a master of deception and persuasion, and as much as she was convinced Saria followed her along simply to use her as a tool, she still ended up falling for her tricks... and in love. Currently, Asandra tries to suppress what she views as an obvious weakness by exaggerating her assertiveness and overt will to be the dominant one above Saria in their social dynamic... And she doesn't seem to realize just how much Viola enjoys it.
